Capturing my thoughts

yesh, i'm lagging in my entry...dunno what I've been up to lately, didn't have time to update...anyway, here's to fill you guys in on JAMs outing at the SINGAPORE ZOOLOGICAL GARDENS!!!

First thing first, fetching the students in the morning was challenging! ALmost half of them were a bit late, guess it's a bit early for them, nevertheless, we were still on time in the end. We had Uncle Joseph to drive us...coz my original driver couldn't make it in time...blessing? In a way i guess. I was actually thinking how am i going to conduct service in a bus on the way to zoo becoz he doesn't really like too much noise in the bus, reason was he couldn't concentrate. With Uncle Joseph, we made so much noise man...we sang a praise song and I preach on gentleness...they got so excited over the baby photos I brought...then I lay down all my rules to them to look after one another when we're in the zoo...surprisingly, they did made an effort to hold their buddies' hand and look out for one another.

How can we miss this stop, here's the Ah-Meng's family!!! hehe...dunno which one is her but i guess it's the one right in the middle... 


It's free-n-easy when we arrive at the zoo, W01 has got the most teacher helpers I guess, Xiaowei n me, 2 SOT students who had came along with my bus, 2 zone helpers n a security...haha, 7 teachers to 16 students...gdgd. I can guide them in the tour with no worries. I guess it was a fruitful one? We managed to see many animals, the Big Cats, bears, hippo, sealions, kangaroos, penguins and many many many different types of monkeys...they're everywhere and i guess it could be the reason we got lost...haha...we've walked quite a fair bit and found ourselves right back at the entrance. We've also seen the feeding of the spider-monkeys upfront and the Elephants of Asia show. Only regrets was that we din managed to get to the Children's world...hai...wanted to actually let them see n touch the little furry animals there...but anyway, we didn't make it, guess the students were also tired from the walking...

finally!!! the stars of the show is ready to perform! 


They were extremely exhausted, almost all of them were sleeping on the bus on our way back...so the returning trip was not so bad, just a bit squeezy...15 students, 8 teachers and 4 wheelchairs on a 17 seater bus...phew...

At the end of the day, we really enjoyed ourselves, even in that short 3 hours spent there. It's short, yeah, coz i used to spend 8 hours everytime in a zoo trip, from 9am to 6pm...hmm, going to go back there before Christmas, i guess...anyone interested?

Oh yeah, it was also kinda the last JAMs service that the SOT students have with us coz they are graduating this week!!! Don't think they'll be coming this sat coz they will be busying with their rehearsals and all that, after this week, i heard that most are going back to their own mission fields before the year ends...i was just talking to one of them and realised how memorable it is to mark their last service with us at the zoo...hmmph, gonna missed them...at the same time i wish them Congratulations and all the best!!!

Meanwhile, JAMs might probably be a little shorthanded (as it always been, esp after SOT graduation each year) these few weeks. It's gonna be busy busy busy too. Anyone considering to join a ministry should consider JAMs, seriously...I've came to realised when members were 'choosing' a ministry, JAMs wasn't even in the list...haha...how sad...how can u say u can't handle them when u haven even tried?!!?nevermind, but do give it a thought next time!!!

One more thing...Christmas Cards made by JAMs students are available for sale!!! They are lovely!!! You can buy it these 3 days during the CWBS...but don't know if there would still be a booth or not for this weekend services, u can check it out at the lobby to see if there is, and don't leave the booth w/o buying any!!! anyway, if u r interested, let me know and I'll go check it out!
